Founded in 2017, LookSEE is an online forum dedicated to the visual arts in Richmond, Virginia. LookSEE aims to engage and to cultivate its audience through video, audio and written content about artists, ideas, places and events in Richmond and beyond.

LookSEE publishes quality content from diverse, informed and provocative perspectives. It attracts an intelligent and engaged audience with a curiosity about art and the importance of art to our community.

Our Co-Founders

Paige Goodpasture

Co-founder, LookSEE

Paige Goodpasture hosts the LookSEE podcast and is a freelance audio producer, an art lover and a lifelong Richmonder. Her favorite place to be is in a museum. A close second is a bookstore.

Paige always thought that being an NPR reporter was the coolest job in the world. Five years ago, she realized that, just like her mama told her, she could be anything when she grew up, so she bought herself a mic and a recorder and started talking to strangers.

From 2013 to 2017, Paige produced and hosted The Creative Habit, a biweekly radio program that aired on WRIR 97.3FM in Richmond. She interviewed many of the people driving creativity and innovation in Richmond. Her guests included former VCU School of the Arts Dean Joe Seipel, documentary filmmaker Abigail Disney, James River Parks director Nathan Burrell, and so many, many incredible artists.

Paige is a serial student and holds a B.A., a J.D. and an M.Ed. from the University of Virginia. She still gets a thrill when she walks onto a college campus and, if she could, she would stay in school forever. As long as she could skip the exam. She lives in Richmond with her husband and three almost-grown children.

Caroline Wright

Co-founder, LookSEE

Caroline Wright produces videos for LookSEE, shedding light on artists’ ways of thinking and making.

A native of South Carolina, Caroline discovered her passion for art in Carol Garber’s Art I class at Greenwood High School. She later earned a B.A. in art history, journalism and studio art from Washington and Lee University and a M.A. in modern and contemporary art from the University of Virginia.

Caroline's career in art education includes jobs in museums, art centers, high schools, colleges and universities. She worked previously at the National Gallery of Art, Monticello and most recently, as curator at the Visual Arts Center of Richmond. At VisArts, her exhibition programming was supported by the National Endowment for the Arts and was twice featured as a Critic’s Pick for artforum.com.

Since moving to Richmond in 2010, Caroline coordinated the inaugural CURRENT Art Fair, joined the board of 1708 Gallery and taught in the graduate program of Craft and Material Studies at VCU. She currently works as an independent art advisor when not spending time with her good-natured husband and spirited daughters.
