House Hold: Joan Gaustad + Michael Lease

Richmond, Virginia, is an artistically rich city and that abundance allows for fantastic collaborations. House Hold, on view now at Sediment Arts, is an exquisite example. Organized a collaborative book project as its starting point, Joan Gaustad, Michael Lease, Amber Esseiva and Claire Zitzow have created something new, a gallery collage, the creative story of all four, intimate and immersive.

House Hold is on view at Sediment Arts through November 11, 2018.

Hi Joan. I was just looking at this picture and fantasizing about a collaboration. What if I take pictures of parts of your house . . . and you write reflective sentences, paragraphs, or essays - your choice - about the images? I love your house and the love and history that drenches each nook, cranny, and ledge and I love how you tell your stories about your life with Jerry. XO, Michael
